Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a different font?
Yes! I have thousands of fonts I’ve purchased throughout the years. You can email nic@unitystampco.com and I can send you some choices to pick from. Just let me know a rough style you’re looking for.
Or there are a few free font websites out there. I’ll gladly download any font of your choosing from the websites below…
Will I receive a preview of my stamp?
Yes. After your order is placed online, I receive an email telling me an order was placed. I respond to emails in the order they came in. I can get to most emails in 1 or 2 business days.
How long does it take to get my stamp?
We use the highest quality methods for making our stamps. No photopolymer or laser etching is involved.
This method takes time. Most stamps ship between 10 - 20 days. Some may ship sooner and some may take up to 35 days to ship. It all depends on when your order was placed during this process.
If you would like an update on how long it will take, email nic@unitystampco.com and I’ll get back to you with an estimate
How are the stamps made?
Most custom stamp places use laser etching on super cheap rubber. Or they have a machine that just carves the rubber. This is a very cheap and easy method to make custom stamps. They'll work. But not for long.
We get an 8.5 x 11-inch magnesium plate made. This is used to create a mold for the rubber.
To create the magnesium plate, we have to fill an 8.5 x 11-inch canvas with the artwork.
Once our mold is made, we use an all-natural rubber to form into the mold. Then, it's heated and pressed under intense pressure.
So our stamps are deeply etched and vulcanized to create a super high-quality stamp! :)
Then once I get the stamps made, I use a scroll saw to meticulously cut out each stamp as close to the image as possible, so there is no extra rubber around the edges.
Can I use an image from google?
Yes and No. Most images you find online are not free images for anyone to use.
But that being said, most of the images are very cheap! Only a couple of dollars and you have full rights to the image. So if there is an image you found online, send nic@unitystampco.com the link and I’ll check to see if we can use it.
I’ll purchase the design for you and just add it to the cost at the end.
Are there free images I can pick from for my stamp?
Yes!
I have subscriptions to multiple websites so you can get free designs of almost anything you can think of.
You just tell me what you’re looking for and I’ll send a bunch of different images to you to pick from.
Will you design something from scratch for me?
Probably! If you are requesting a stamp with some text and/or a cute image, I can absolutely help design this!
Charge is $10 for a custom design from scratch. This includes 3-5 revisions depending on the complexity of the request.
Can you add “Stampin’ UP!” to my personalized stamp?
Not without permission. Stampin’ UP! is very serious about where their name can be. If you reach out to ds@stampinup.com, ask permission, and send me a screenshot of the response, I can make it for you.
So sorry for the inconvenience.
What size should my stamp be?
This is totally personal preference. I have customers who get stamps so small you need a magnifying glass to read the text. Others get them so large it takes up nearly an entire A2 card.
For square or round designs, most people go between 1.25 to 2 inches.
For longer designs most choose 2 - 2.5 inches.
If you need help choosing a size, feel free to email nic@unitystampco.com and I can show you how your stamp will look on an A2 card at your size request.
Can you turn my drawing into a stamp?
I sure can! I take peoples drawings, paw prints, tattoos, signatures and stampify them all the time! Just send the artwork to nic@unitystampco.com and I’ll get started on it for no extra cost.
When you send me the artwork...
1. Make sure to draw it using only black ink on white paper.
2. If you have access to a scanner scan it in at least 300 resolution. This will be the best way to do it.
3. If not, take a well-lit picture straight on and send that to me. Make sure your phone's megapixels/resolution is as high as possible.
